Terms of Use

These terms supplement the Apple Standard End User License Agreement. Mandatory consumer rights prevail where applicable.

1. Provider and acceptance

Creating an account and using Hotaru means accepting these terms.

2. Service

Hotaru supports workout planning, nutrition logs, supplement routines, health data synchronization and AI-assisted personal insights. Features may evolve while the core purpose of the service remains available.

3. Not medical advice

Hotaru is a fitness and wellness app. Content and AI responses provide general information and do not replace diagnosis, treatment or advice from a qualified medical professional. Users should seek medical advice before changing training, nutrition or supplements when they have symptoms, a medical condition, are pregnant, take medication or are uncertain.

4. Account and acceptable use

Users must provide accurate information, protect credentials and use the app lawfully. Automated attacks, bypassing access controls, abuse, unlawful content and interference with the service are prohibited.

5. Subscriptions

• Biohacker monthly: auto-renewable subscription, currently EUR 11.99 per month.
• Biohacker yearly: auto-renewable subscription, currently EUR 99.99 per year.

The price shown in the App Store or on Google Play, including local taxes, controls. Payment is charged to the Apple Account or the Google Account after confirmation. The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Users can manage or cancel it in the subscription settings of Apple or Google Play. Refunds are governed by the rules of Apple or Google.

6. User content and rights

Users retain rights in content they enter. They grant only the limited technical rights required to provide the selected app functions. The app, design, trademarks and software remain protected.

7. Availability and liability

Continuous availability cannot be guaranteed. Statutory liability rules apply. No limitation applies to intent, gross negligence, injury to life, body or health, or mandatory statutory liability.

8. Termination

Users can remove the account in the app under Profile → Account & security → Delete account. A subscription must be cancelled separately in the subscription settings of Apple or Google Play. Serious or repeated violations may result in access suspension after appropriate review.

9. Changes and law

Material changes will be communicated transparently. German law applies, excluding the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. Mandatory consumer protections in the user's country of residence remain unaffected.
